About the Studio

Magia Gliny – a place where you can slow down.

I believe that each of us sometimes needs a place where we can simply be.

To put down the phone for a moment. To leave work, school, daily rush, and all the thoughts that occupy our minds behind the door. To sit at a table, take a piece of clay in our hands, and allow ourselves to play creatively.

This is how Magia Gliny was created – a ceramic workshop and a meeting space for people who want to create, relax, develop their creativity, and meet others.

Because clay has something extraordinary about it.

From a seemingly ordinary lump, you can create something that didn't exist before. Your first mug. A plate that will accompany you at breakfast. A bowl from which you will eat your favorite fruits. Or an object that will simply remind you of a good moment, of time spent with yourself, and of the fact that you can create something with your own hands.

And it is this agency that, for me, is one of the greatest magics of clay.

Clay that calms

Working with clay engages your hands, sight, touch, and attention. It helps to divert thoughts from what is happening around and direct them to what is here and now.

That's why I created the Clay and Relaxation classes – a time when you don't have to achieve anything or prove anything to anyone. You can simply sit at a table and create.

You don't have to be an artist.
You don't have to have experience.
You don't even have to know what you want to make.

Just curiosity and a willingness to give yourself some time.

A meeting place

We live in times when so many of our relationships have moved online. We can be in contact all day, and yet we meet less and less in person – face to face.

And yet, we need each other.

We need conversations, laughter, exchange of thoughts. But also shared silence. The presence of another person at the table. The feeling that we are part of some small community.

I would like Magia Gliny to be just such a place.

A place where kindred spirits come – people who are curious about the world, sensitive, creative, searching. A place where you can meet someone new, talk, laugh, and sometimes just quietly sculpt something together.

Who am I?

My name is Monika.

I am an adult woman who for a long time searched for her passion.

By profession, I am a life coach and breath therapist. I am also a ceramist and an artist. For years I explored various ways of working with people, emotions, the body, and mindfulness.

And then, clay appeared.

And I felt I had found something special.

I was captivated by the fact that from a simple piece of earth, you can create something beautiful and useful with your own hands. That the material responds to touch, that you have to meet it, not fight it. That sometimes you have to accept imperfection and let things be as they are.

And that during this process, something changes within us too.

It is from this fascination that Magia Gliny was born.

I created this place to share with you what I myself found in clay – the joy of creation, a sense of agency, peace, and the extraordinary pleasure of being here and now.

I would like Magia Gliny to be a place one wants to return to. A place for meetings, conversations, creative experimentation, rest, and discovering one's own capabilities.

Discover, create, fall in love with ceramics

At Magia Gliny, you will find various workshops and classes – both for those who are just discovering ceramics, and for those who already know that clay is their element.

You can learn to sculpt, develop your skills, experiment, and simply have fun. And perhaps… fall in love with ceramics just like me.

You can also create at home and bring your works to our studio for firing.

If you already have bisque-fired pieces, you can come and decorate them with glazes available in the studio.

And if you just feel like painting something – ready-made bisque forms are also waiting for you.

The studio has two electric ceramic kilns, each with a capacity of 130 liters. Thanks to cooperation with other places, we can also carry out alternative firings.

Come – you'll feel good

Magia Gliny is located in a space of approximately 75 m², right next to WKD Komorów station.

From the center of Warsaw, you can reach us in about 28 minutes, and from the center of Grodzisk Mazowiecki in about 20 minutes. If you come by car, you will find convenient parking nearby.

But in reality, the most important thing is what happens after crossing the threshold.

The table.
The clay.
Your hands.
People.

And that special moment when you stop thinking about everything you have to do and just start creating.

I invite you to Magia Gliny.

Come make your first mug.
Come rest.
Come meet people.
Come make something with your own hands.

Or perhaps just come to see what clay can do for you.

See you at the table.

Monika
